Dramatic little storm

A sunny bright warm day and this evening, almost with no warning this storm brews up. I thought it was going to blow in hard, cause flash floods, who knows , cause power outages, block roads, smash flower - and next years income - off the trees, overflowing drains and and whatever next. And it did, in a very small and manageable way. After all we have the capacity to cope with such things. It passed over quite fast and the afterlight glowed with a touch of magic.

Rena shipwreck update: All the oil is off but the residues. Barge in place today to start removing the 1280 or so containers. They reckon 6 in a day. The Bay of Plenty sigh with relief at the reduced risk of another oil spill.
