Thursday 10 November 2011: Fabulous Fife Food at Elmwood College

Visited Elmwood College today on behalf of Crail Food Festival to attend the Feast of Scotland Conference.

One of the former students, Michael Clark, who's recently started working at the Peat Inn after completing his course, produced this beautiful Lobster Salad. His attention to detail was fabulous, and I particularly liked the cauliflower which was sliced on a mandolin, blanched then plunged into ice water before being used as a component of the salad. It looked so beautiful.

A most enjoyable day and a wee diversion past Fisher and Donaldson's en route home so that the family could enjoy some Fife food for tea too.
