Friday 13 June 2008: Meet J.D. Salinger

J.D. as in Jack Daw (Corvus monedula).

I met this little creature on my way to supermarket. It didn't move, so I got curious and tried to pick it up. Which remarkable succeeded. It felt really light and boney, so I presume it had abandoned it's nest prematurely. I also think it just happened since mommy or daddy started swooping over my head yelling: "Let my baby go! You big monster, you!!!"

(Yes I speak fluently dawish.)

Alas the future for this little guy or girl looks very bleak, and I don't expect him/her to survive very long. 2 to 3 days at most.
