Tuesday 15 November 2011: Festive Preparations

Another morning school run shot - I like being out with my camera early in the day. I love ticking jobs off a to-do list, so having a photograph sorted by 9am makes me feel rather smug!

I saw Sam's blip on the thumbnails yesterday, and assumed it was Lucie's, who lives near me and has the same canal trek to school. The steps Sam shot were similar to these by us, though our muddy climb up to the canal is a little rougher round the edges than her pretty version way down south.

Other than that, I've decided to accept that Christmas IS fast approaching, and give in to it a little. I've scoffed one mince pie, had a Baileys (not on my Cornflakes this morning, last weekend!) and bought some presents that AREN'T birthday gifts. I've even wrapped a few! Anna's singing festive songs they're learning at school. Several social occasions have been arranged. I am not going to be bad tempered, stroppy, stressed, or pack us up and run off to Cornwall this year. Promise.

But if anyone plays that God-awful McCartney song - at ANY point - I will scream.
