It's a team game. We have to rely on one another. And sometimes we can't.

Today, amid the gathering economic rubble, Parliament took a break from threatening working people and covering up for kleptocrats to not only debate but also sooth the concerns of hundreds of thousands of Britons.

The thing is, these concerns did not relate to their nans' gas bills, or their kids' schools, or their hospitals, libraries and social care. Nor an economic system that sees £1 in every £8 of tax revenue siphoned off by tax dodgers, to the total tune of £70bn a year (70x the cost of benefit fraud).

Apparently British people are more worried about petrol prices.

We are utterly knackered.
