"Happy" Birthdays at Church

At my church you get the special privilege of wearing a silly hat, standing at the front and having the whole congregation singing to you on your birthday.

Some aren't too pleased with this, some are fine, some are happy. You could see it in two different ways:
1. A warm and inviting way to make you feel part of our spiritual family.
2. A twisted way of making you feel super embarrassed and laughed at.

I used to be a hater.

Now I'm OK with it.

Lucy seems to be enjoying it... But she's a bit shy and I have my suspicions that she's on the haters side.
