Saturday 19 November 2011: Tamworth Snowdome
Not an arty photo - but I thought a trivial blip was needed after yesterday's ramble, which you were all so nice about, by the way x
Paul's at work today. On call too - I'm not quite sure how that works, but anyway. On call + overtime = Matthew's birthday paid for. You have to look at the bigger picture sometimes...
Anna's swimming lessons are every Saturday morning, so Mum, Dad, me, Matt and Anna went to the Snowdome, where the pool is. Mum and Dad watched Anna swim, while Matt and I had nutmeg hot chocolates in Starbucks and watched the skiers. I was hoping to blip a cool snowboarder, but it was kids and beginners this morning. If you go at 10pm it's all hip youngsters, flashing lights and dubstep/house music. How old do I sound?! :(
The slope doesn't look that steep on this - but believe me, when you're balanced precariously on skis or a toboggan at the end of the travelator, which curves round and down to the top you can see here, it bloody well is!
Proud mummy moment though. Matt and I went to watch the end of Anna's lesson, just in time to see her first-ever dive. Go Anna!!!
