Saturday 19 November 2011: Three little maids...

631/365: ... basking in the morning sunshine.

Guess what? It's November. And there was sun! I know! Sunshine! In November. With a little bit of warmth attached to it and everything!!!!!

So warm, that when Maddy and I walked down to the shops together this morning, Maddy had no coat or jumper on, and I managed with just a cardigan. Shouldn't we be all wrapped up and shivering now? The flowers in the garden are seriously confused. The Oxeye daisy is out. As is the Dahlia. And the Delphinium. Weird.

Been another weekend where I'm adjusting to not having marking / tutorial stuff to do. It's bloomin' fab. Went with the others to take Maddy swimming this morning - when if I'd still been doing the OU stuff, I know I'd have had to be marking today. Had a relaxed lunch. Made a cake and some lemon curd with Felix this afternoon. And generally pottered about.

In a mo, I'll make a veggie toad in the hole with Felix (it's his turn to help with cooking today = stressy for me!)... and then this evening we're off out to see a harp concert which the kids (and this probably sounds weird) are looking forward to. Maddy's got her outfit together. A summer dress. Leggings. Socks. And sandals. She is a sight to behold.
