David Hume's Big Toe

Was back in Edinburgh for day two of the Stills course on themes and series. So far, so good.

Was out today with an exercise on "relationships", was bit of a sair one after getting in at one after a birthday party, but needs must. As I was working the theme (Edinburgh's relationship with it's tourists and vice versa...) I noticed that people have been rubbing David Hume's big toe (and even painting one). I'm assuming it is to give them good luck, personally I'm skeptical.....
