Sunday 20 November 2011: Hoar Cross Hall Spa, Yoxhall

An iPhone shot taken rather surreptitiously - it unnerves people if you're in a spa with a camera ;) It's the ceiling in the lounge area. I'm tempted to buy chiffony stuff and do the same to our conservatory!

Today Alison, Mandy, Lynette , Julie, Tracey and myself went to the rather luxurious Hoar Cross Hall. I managed to extract myself from the Zumba class and spent an hour alone doing lengths of the dark blue, twinkly lit pool. Lovely. I'm a decent swimmer, and swam a lot when I was younger - I realised today how much I missed it...an hour of lengths mean my arms ache like hell now though :(

Lunch was a blur of mediterranean veggies, goats cheese, chicken wrapped in bacon with butternut squash, caramel rice pudding and rose wine. Thank God I'd done all that swimming!!!

The afternoon was spent lazing in dressing gowns on huge leather sofas, and gossiping in the jacuzzis. What a way to catch up with some very special friends x
