Not every day

Four years after standing outside the Dolphin Inn by Hesketh Bank, on the shores of the Irish Sea, I finally make it to the other end of the Ribble. For the last, and most challenging, stage, I was glad to have company - so big up Cath, Deb, Nicky and Chris. The spring itself is nicely sited at the foot of a cliff, unmarked except by a small stone basin, and just feels right. A mile down the hill it is already a substantial stream. We gave it a libation of Glenmorangie, and yomped down to Ribblehead in the dark just in time to catch the train back to Horton. Very satisfying, and we also raised money to bring some kids from overseas to next year's conference/event.
