Monday 21 November 2011: Governor's House

Back in the day when Old Calton Jail was the thing you'd see beyond this round turreted building, this was the house of the Governor of the Jail.

I was passing the end of Jeffrey Street when I saw this scene, and it reminded me of a sketch I'd seen by Edinburgh Sketcher when following threads of chat from Twitter last night.
