634/365: ... always dignity...
... especially when the kids are at school, and the cat gets to exist without them loving her to bits or cuddling every ounce of purr out of her.
Just me and the cat at home today. I was 'attending' an online conference and rather than go into work and miss every presentation because of interruptions and everything else office-based, opted to attend properly and do so from home. Definitely the right decision. I'd not been able to do any of the pre-conference activities last week because of other bits and bobs cropping up... but today I could concentrate. Hooray!
Some interesting stuff. One presentation which depressed me entirely (just about everything that didn't attract me to working in Higher Education in the first place in a single presentation!). One which was kinda bitty but still useful. And all with a plentiful supply of tea and a nice warm fire nearby.
Oh, and it also meant that I got to walk the kids to school. Even though it rained, it was still nice. But that'll teach me not to listen to Maddy who goes 'it isn't raining, mummy!' before we leave - and then I ended up getting soaked while she had my brolly! The cheek!
