The Lozarithm Lens

The Morning After...

Luckily, this isn't my kitchen, but that of Avebury Manor. It has just been restored to look like one from a small country house as it might have been on a busy day in 1912.

The manor house has been closed all year while it has been made over by the National Trust and the BBC, and a TV series all about the transformation begins on BBC1 in the UK tomorrow. Normally, the house and gardens would be closed until the Spring, but the house has been specially opened for a short while before Christmas and we went along today to see it, before the TV broadcast triggers a larger influx of visitors.

As well as the house, the topiaried gardens and a newly created Victorian style kitchen garden have been made available to visitors.
