Cranberries

'Tis the day 'fore Thanksgiving and outside the house
The turkey is hiding and so is the grouse.
The cranberries simmer all snug in their pot
While pumpkin pies bake in the oven so hot.

Tomorrow we'll eat after saying our prayer
That the good Lord above keep all safe in His care.
