Thursday 24 November 2011: Timeshifted Birthday
The pace and pressures of modern life change things in rather peculiar ways. It's my sons sixteenth birthday tomorrow but to a combination of my extended working day (to allow for commuting) and various evening commitments of the 'club' kind his birthday has been timeshifted in two opposite directions. The evening before he opens his presents and cards and the following evening he gets to go out for his birthday meal...just so the whole family can participate in both. Strange times we live in...
