A retiring cake
I promised to make a cake for our nursery nurse Val's retiral do tomorrow and despite not being 100%, I was determined to do it.
It's taken 3 days to bake cover and now decorate it. I do hope it's not stale by tomorrow.
Ally got home from work at 19.30 hours tonight. He is working too hard in his new job, but he is liking it. It's just a pity he's asleep in his chair now.
All work............. as they say.
(Oh, btw, they're supposed to bed babies in blankets on top of the cake.)
