Thursday 24 November 2011: Public Meeting

Tough and very well attended Public Meeting tonight in Dunoon about the ferries. Lots of people hate the new boats and want the restoration of the vehicle service. But huge difficulties in securing that objective for a town that has a commercial car ferry every twenty minutes, a road link and an improving ( I hope) passenger service every half hour. Plus legal, European and financial impediments to such a solution which are complex but real.. I will do what I can to help but no easy answers and I had to make that clear.

Difficult.
