It's tough being a cat.

First she's stuffed head first into a plastic box with a wire mesh front. Then she is taken outside in the cold and the rain and spends ten minutes in a strange waiting room with strange smells.

Then a complete stranger puts a cold metal thing on her chest and says her heart is fine, humiliatingly searches her fur for fleas, rams a worming tablet down her throat, looks in her eyes and ears with a bright light, and finally clips her claws.

At last poor Beatrice was allowed to get back in her box with her warm fleece and go home (through the rain). So here she is exhausted and crabbit hiding her nose under her tail.

Poor Beatrice.
