Saturday 26 November 2011: Stopper
Not a great day. I can't sit for any length of time without my back seizing up. So things have been a little fraught. I also had a bit of rotten time shopping when my left arm went numb from elbow to fingertips. Unpleasant.
My eyes were not particularly open to Blippurtunties which is a shame since the Sternschnuppen Markt is quite pretty. When I have the motivation and the mobility, I will pay that a proper visit.
Tried to do something with the vegetarian haggis that arrived a couple of days ago. I had bought some Filo pastry with the idea of making little parcels. That was the plan until I opened the pastry to find lovely little blue blobs of mould... four days past its sell by date. A quick recalibration of plans saw the purchase of some Blatterteig (a bit like puff pastry) and the production of haggis rolls. Perhaps a first in Wiesbaden. We tried one and it tastes magic. Good with chilli sauce too.
Today's Blip is a bottle stopper. I loved the colours on a gray day like today (with apologies to anyone with the surname Gray).
