Saturday 26 November 2011: Dosthill Park
I hate taking indoor shots, so it was great to have time to get back outside and blip. I don't feel right unless the majority of my shots are taken outdoors.
You wouldn't believe how much I struggled to take it though. It was so blustery, I could barely hold my camera straight, and the wind kept whipping my ponytail round and into the lens. You can see the trees being blown across in front of me here. My hands were so cold they were almost blue :(
When I was growing up we lived opposite Dosthill Park, which is only a few minutes from where we live now. A vast amount of my childhood was spent here. As teenagers, my best friend Ju and myself spent HOURS watching older boys play football chatting about the merits of River Phoenix (her favourite) and Keifer Sutherland (mine) on the little bench you can just see under the tree in the distance. We still sit chatting for hours, but it tends to be in Costa with tea and cake nowadays, rather than in the park with chocolate and Coke from Cottage Farm Stores :)
