Deep
A trip into Edinburgh with the boy today while Mandy drew the short straw of a kid's party at Play Planet. First stop Edinburgh Castle armed with a voucher for free entry from Historic Scotland. Tremendously busy - everyone else seemed to have a voucher too - but a pleasant wander. Then to Waterstones. Ellen's birthday on Wednesday and I was on the look for a particular book. No joy.
Wandered back along Princes Street's emptiness and stopped for Todd Various' show before carrying on through the market and up Cockburn Street to Millers Art shop. Or would have if it was still there. Sadly not.
Came across this guy on the High Street in a pretty cold wind, trying to work up a crowd. Watched for a bit. He was OK. This was his big finale after delivering the, now compulsory and near-identical, cash appeal. Twenty inches. He's in the wrong job.
