The Eastern Fjords

This was the first day of nice weather on the whistle-stop trip around Iceland, or at least the morning was. The fjords are stunning and each bend of the road reveals a new sight to take your breath away.

After passing the town of Egilsstaðir though there is a sharp incline into the area known as the Northern Desert in Iceland at which stage we encountered about 80Km of driving snow, scary!
