Thursday 1 December 2011: Vaseline Old and New
I've always like the packaging of vaseline lip balm, so it is a favourite in the winter when the cold weather can crack my lip a little. I like the classic design of the tin, and the old-fashioned deep green. It can get a little hard to lever open if it gets bashed in my pocket though.
So I was displeased this morning to discover they have changed the packaging to a new much lighter green, and the top of the lid now has a ridge around the outside. More contemporary, but I don't really see that as a good thing... They have aslo added a little ridge at the bottom of the tin to make it easier to open, which I will concede is progress.
