Saturday 3 December 2011: Get Out of the Eighties

PR/press call this morning for Friends of the Earth Scotland. A group of young activists were doing a song/dance routine outside the Scottish Parliament in full eighties gear. The idea was that back in the eighties we didn't really appreciate the impact of climate change and so there was a bit of an excuse for businesses and governments pursuing policies that we now know were affecting climate change. Now there is no such excuse and so the activists dressed up as individuals representing some of the worst offenders, as part of a worldwide day of action drawing public attention to the global climate talks taking place in Durban, South Africa.

Just noticed, that's 400 entries in a row now, after my erratic start to blipping, and only another 13 to go for my 500 all told
