Saturday 3 December 2011: I'm ready for my close-up now, Mr de Mille
We were up and at 'em surprisingly early today. We needed to go to the bank so we went down to Byres Road, and did a bit of pottering in the charity and junk shops. We got some LPs in the Oxfam Music shop. I will be practising my Sally Bowles shortly...
Then we had brunch with Amanda, in the Grosvenor Cafe, which she suggested; I've been there at night, but in the day it has a toy box, ride-on racing cars and a face-painter.... I had a whale of a time, ahem. It's in the top part of the Grosvenor Cinema, but as you can see from the ceiling, it used to be part of the auditorium itself. The lights were pretty impressive too.
