Crowded

Every morning, when I stop at this corner I admire this tree, and wonder what this estate would have looked like if they had owned (or kept) the lots next door and given this tree room to be on display without the fence, the telephone poles and the High School parking lot next door.

The glorious golden sun this morning made me want to take it's picture and tell you about it.

The day's events were hopeful and optimistic - turned disheartening and terrible.
Mother Comfort transferred from the hospital to a Rehab facility, but the intake process was extremely long, disjointed and drawn out. It, and the extra walking, exhausted her. The final straw came for her when she pushed her call button and no one came...no one came...no one came. We were with her, so we went out to get some assistance and instead of a pain pill, she got more paperwork and a lack of her regular...and necessary...medications available for her nightly routine. The hour got later and later and her stress rose higher and higher. The question, "do you want to be resuscitated if your heart stops and you're not breathing" put her over the top since it was after 9pm, a full hour after she had pushed her call button initially, she was late for her regular meds and she still didn't have the pain pill. She was fully convinced by this time their intention was not to care for her, but to 'do her in' as she often feared was the case in this day and age anyway. Well, ultimately, she did have a heart attack during the process and now is in the intensive care unit back at the hospital. :-(
