Thursday 8 December 2011: A Trifle Breezy
Everyone will be aware that today's weather brought strong winds to the North of the country with travel disrupted and schools and offices closed.
I was watching the live readings from the weather station at King's Buildings throughout the day and blipped them tonight to show how the windspeed picked up at 11am - and it's still blowing at the top of the scale.
My birdfeeders are still hanging but one goldfinch continued to feed on Niger seed even when the feeder was swinging wildly, otherwise there has been little activity in the garden.
