Thursday 8 December 2011: Here comes #Hurricanebawbags
What a day to be open to the elements. Winds gusting to 84 mph closed the Forth Road Bridge from around 11 am till about 6 pm.
I did a supermarket run at 7 am to make sure we had candles, and other emergency provisions.
Nothing to do but wait it out now then see what damage has been wrought.
The title's a reference to a Twitter trend today - lots of chat and jokes about Scotland's storm. I'm not sure I'm ready to take it as a joke. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
