Thursday 1 December 2011: It is sometimes about the people.
Third day walking the Kepler Track. I have many photos of mountains, rivers and lakes but; these people - and their friends - made it for me. The two on the right got engaged the day before, he took a ring to the top of the mountain and proposed. The guy on the left, Alfie, is a legend. They are from The Philippines, they are gorgeous, they are funny, they have a sense of community, they are humble, they taught me things. Thanks guys.
The light for this picture is all from a fire on the beach on Lake Manopouri, a fantastic night and a great way to end a journey.
Dexter I will always laugh when I see a sad or a happy cow!
