Grand illumination

I met someone this evening for the GRAND ILLUMINATION! For some reason something about that reminds me of the wizard of OZ?

...anyway, the so called, "grand illumination" is a Richmond tradition to usher in the Christmas season. Imagine a countdown to illuminating the city, bagpipes and Christmas carols in the streets. Mobs of people, food, and here and there even a fire blazing to gather around in the night chill...

It is official now. The holiday season in all its beauty and horror!
