Sunrise Ski opened to day as the base on Sunrise mountain reached thirty-six inches. Only three lifts running: the bunny hill; the high speed and the four-person chairlift that takes you halfway up Sunrise. I didn't tempt fate, after not having skied for three or is it four seasons, by taking it easy on green runs so I didn't go to the top for the challenge, for me at any rate, of Crown Dancer.

Having made up my mind to go skiing I knew my blip would be a shot on the slopes as I wouldn't have the time or the energy to go running around after skiing for the better part of four hours ...
