Friday 9 December 2011: Just a ride in the park
On the bike for the first time in a couple weeks. Rode through my favorite park, Trinity Park in Fort Worth.
The ride included: Lunch at a very expensive burger joint that still makes milk shakes the old fashioned way with hand-dipped ice cream, a stop by the bike shop to pick up some chain lube, and a stop in a bar I used to frequent but haven't been to in a while, for a locally brewed Winter Warmer Ale. Altogether, 28 miles of fun on my vintage 12-speed Raleigh Super Course.
