liver

today is Brighton's birthday. And I have been meaning to give her a photo of a liver for over a yr. She loves the way it looks; the microscopic world of the inside of our bodies is wonderfully fascinating art.

Actually, this photograph is of a rat's liver. Our histology professor, Dr. Cammarata, let me photograph one of his slides. The department has a microscope hooked up to a digital camera/computer. It was a great experience. And Brighton was thrilled to finally receive this gift from me.

we got to celebrate completing another round of exams and Brighton's birthday with some good food and yummy margaritas. It wasn't a late night though. We were all tried and class tomorrow starts at 8am.
