Sunday 11 December 2011: Viscaria in the gale

Blowing all day today, well over it, washing wound round the line, garden getting blown to pieces, dust falling from the cracks in the walls and ceiling as the wind rocks the house, I would like some summer!

Saw this big bed of viscaria in an abandoned garden. It used to be beautiful, manicured lawn, lots of flowers, but it's been abandoned since the September quake last year and the garden is running wild. Such a waste, lovely brick home with a view of the river, which was its downfall (literally).

Wind howling so no way of getting any sharpness, so decided to make a virtue of necessity and have it really soft.
