Tuesday 13 December 2011: Wet and windy
But it still didn't stop us playing football at Meadowbank. It was blowing a gale (technically only a 'moderate gale' I think), and the gusts sometimes took the ball off your foot and out of reach. I almost scored with a clearance as goalkeeper but it just bounced over the bar. And we were on the more sheltered half of the outdoor pitches, slightly in the lee of the sports centre buildings. This is me just off the bus - fortunately almost door-to-door, but still taking time to grab a blip before walking down the street to the house.
