Friday 16 December 2011: Oranges and spice...
658/365: ... and all things nice.
That's how my kitchen smelled while these orange slices were drying in the oven. They're going to be part of a Christmas wreath and any left we can hang on the tree. Dead easy to do and very pretty when the light goes through them.
Maddy is currently walking around to 'Once in Royal David's City', with her arms folded over her body a la demented Egyptian Mummy. Felix has decreed that all that's involved in singing carols is a) singing and b) walking around with your hands together (as if in prayer). He has no idea why their hands need to be together though!
Today has been a 'working from home' day - which meant that I got a load of little bits and bobs which needed sorting out... sorted. I've also got about half a voice and my temperature is yo-yo-ing. This lurgy has not been fun. I've also had the company of a very snotty, grotty Felix. He looks dreadful. His face is blotchy and what's not red is kinda grey. And he's on the verge of tears with any and every little thing. Which, combined with Maddy coming home from school suffering from end-of-term-itis has been a recipe for bickering.
And weird dancing.
PS It's the weekend!!!
PPS That sounds a lot perkier than I feel.
PPPS Still. It *is* the weekend. Yay!
