Presents (sic) of a Happy Family

"The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other."

- Burton Hillis

That said ... Presents!

We have tended for the last few years - because children - to have nothing under the tree until after the kids have gone to sleep on Christmas eve, for fear of nothing remaining wrapped. This year we're chancing it. We've been quite concrete with the kids: not just "don't open any presents until Christmas day, which is next Sunday, 7 days away...", but then adding "...until your mummy and I get up on Christmas day ... And we say it's time to open them". ;-)

Such killjoys. :-p

They've actually been totally fine today, and haven't gone near them since the first look.

Miss 6 wrapped up one of mrs tsuken's presents almost all on her own, and helped me with another - and she wrote on the labels. All in all, really nice.

Unprocessed version here. I added a duplicate layer, set to "multiply" with 50% opacity, pulled up the RGB curve and painted that onto the tree, then pulled down the luminance curve and painted that everywhere else. I also cropped to 2:3 and sharpened a tad.

Large version here.
