Newcastle Downunder

Low Tide

The sunset was a bit of a fizzer tonight. There was a nice afterglow down at Newcastle Beach. A quiet day today, Farmers Markets in the morning, dog beach, mowing, cooking, coffee and catch with friends (you know who you are) and then crikey, time for a blip.

The Christmas Lights for tonight are at North Lambton. Aaren Bower was collecting for Westpace Rescue Helicopter. His lights are computer controlled and set to music which takes about 35 minutes to run through. He says he has lights on order for next year from NZ and USA. He also told me his electricity bill goes up about $30 - $40 with the lights (£19 - 25; about the same in US$)
