Annual Raft Race, Bampton in Cumbria

For the last four years a few of us have formed a crew to enter the annual raft race on the River Lowther at Bampton in Cumbria. A couple of my rugby watching friends have houses there so we stop off on our journey south from Scotland to dress up in silly clothes and go for a paddle.

Last year we dressed as Vikings. This year we wore knotted handkerchiefs in Mr Gumby outfits.
