Tuesday 20 December 2011: Dutch's
An institution near Texas Christian University, Dutch's Burgers opened in the space of the long-time Jon's Grille. Even though there is new management, the place looks like it's been open forever, complete with hand-painted menu boards and tin ceilings.
Fort Worth has recently been overrun with invasive, non-native burger joints, but the local ones really are the best, and Dutch's is a good example. The toppings are fresh as can be, the tomatoes delicious, the meat itself is very savory, all on a sweet-bread roll. And if that wasn't enough, the onion rings are some of the best you can get.
A bonus for me personally is that they have a veggie burger that my vegetarian wife likes quite a bit.
In short: Yum!
