Copycats

It will be immediately obvious that this is not Islay - I did say I occasionally go to other places, and this picture is an old favourite taken on a great winter holiday. I will return to Islay tomorrow, no doubt.

I have no idea who the two people in this photograph are, but I noticed their display of synchronised fiddling about with snowboards at Big White, in British Columbia, Canada.

On my first visit there, I took a ski class with an Englishman of no obvious ability. On his first run, he managed to lose a ski and - on the one he had left - careered out of control into those skiers who had not seen him coming. Of course, I had seen him in plenty of time.
