Thursday 22 December 2011: I went to the seaside
Well, Edinburgh's seaside. I cycled along to Portobello first thing, as I had a dental appointment, and was rewarded not with spectacular light, but with calming greys and blues, and the hint of yellow at the horizon over towards North Berwick. And lots of visual interest as the good burghers of Porty walked their dogs on the beach, or walked/cycled their children to school.
It was a bit blustery on the way back, because the wind is somewhat southwesterly and in my face, but it was a pleasant outing to start the day.
Now to work.
