We wish you a sulky Christmas,
We wish you a sulky Christmas
... And a pouty New Year!
Welcome to Christmas Chez Horrigans.
It's been one of those days. Prickly and rubbish. Have *still* got tonsillitis and felt sufficiently dreadful this morning that I wasn't up to going to work (which is pretty rare for me - first time ever in this job)... and did some slumping around in bed as my tonsils throbbed, my head pounded and my ears ached. This was, of course, interspersed with Maddy crying about feeling poorly and Felix sulking (see above specimen for the lip-out-pout and everything).
I've managed to do pretty much nothing today. The kids have been 'making'. Sadly, what they've been making is mainly a mess. And lots of noise. The nice thing they did earlier was to spend a good hour or so playing with the dolls I made them yesterday - it was really sweet. I was lying in bed listening to them acting out a very strange play involving the Angel Gabriel, aliens and bits of carol singing. With the dolls taking the lead role. Cute. :o)
That's about it for the day. Maddy's reading a book on the sofa and is obviously enjoying it because her toes are curling and twizzling happily. Felix is attempting to sew a 'No Entry Monster' he designed earlier and actually doing a not bad job of it - and an even better job of sticking his tongue out.
And neither of them have quite managed to get dressed yet.
PS Is it too early to go back to bed if it's not even 6pm?
PPS Kinda thought it might be...
