Gingham
A touch of Gingham in the tablecloths always exudes a sense of comfort and homeliness in a restaurant for us, as here in a place around the block where we had the most delicious prawns coated in catuperry (a soft creamy cheese that could pass for mashed potato), all breadcrumbed and deep fried in little balls!
Now relaxing on our very own chaiselongue before going out later for a walk. Good news is that our long delayed double glazed window should be installed on Boxing day, only two months late!
PS
'Gingham' is from the Malay 'ging gang' meaning striped, not sure about the 'gooly-goolies' in the scout song!
