Wednesday 2 July 2008: On a pedestal
A weird mix of weather today, ranging from dull and dreary to wet and miserable, to sunny spells. At one point I was lucky enough to catch a patch of perfect blue sky while I was around College Green at late evening. The golden light was glorious. This is one of the statues which top the portico behind the curving colonnade of the Bank of Ireland building. I've added a bit of selective texture overlay, but the sky is true to life.
The clear blue didn't last very long, but its later absence was compensated for by a pretty dramatic sunset (which didn't, unfortunately, lend itself to blipping around my suburban environment).
