That Will Do!

Victorian Wrought Iron

Mr Flum and I found a nice cafe at the swimming pool in Portobello a while ago and we went there again today.

I suffered from a wave of nostalgia, not for the pool but because I noticed how similar the stairway is to that of Central Hall, which was my church for 43 years until 2010 when the congregation moved out. The buildings both date from 1901 and the wrought ironwork and the stairs are therefore of designs of the period. Sadly the pool does not have any Glasgow School stained glass that graces the church.
