Thursday 22 December 2011: the ferry
went to visit ladySp33ds sister and bro-in-law today at their new home in penketh. they only moved in yesterday afternoon so it was only a short stop-by, just enough to admire the utter gorgeousness of their new home and to grab a lunchtime pie and celebratory pint of ale at the local*. their gaff is wonderful, a proper old place full of character, charm and warmth: sash windows, old radiators, proper stone steps and ceilings higher than robert pershing wadlow. what i call 'The Works'.
*the place floods every several-or-so years (something to do with the moon and stuff), hence these rather nifty tide-level markery things.
