Jasper

I was laying down watching this Jasper licking my floor. At first I thought this was pretty cool as the floor needed a clean but then it coughed up what I can only presume to be a 'Dirt Ball'?? (it's right under it's mouth in the pic)
I was not impressed as I have enough to do with clearing up after the 3 kids so before the Jasper could bugger off I flicked 'It' and it's 'Dirt Ball' out of the window.
Is this normal behavour of a wasp?
