Saturday 24 December 2011: Festive colour
Several motives for this today - festive pillar box red, inspired by my friend Lisa and her boyfriend's collection of post box images on 'another social network site' and finally the idea to document the present day before it changes. After all, we are all sending more emails and fewer physical letters. I wonder when the post box will become obsolete? Except for a few that are left in museums. I think I saw somewhere that there are over 116,000 in the UK - this small selection was just on the way to and from the shops in the centre of town. Perhaps a project for the new year?
